Getting around Woolwich in South East London

There are several modes to take, and one is through the Docklands Light Railway (DLR). Another alternative is the overland line from London Bridge station to Woolwich Dockyard station or Woolwich Arsenal station. King George V station is near the northern part of the town's foot tunnel on the same line as the Arsenal DLR station. The Woolwich foot tunnel is okay for pedestrians and cyclists. The nearest tube station is in North Greenwich, the only underground station in the London Borough of Greenwich. The O2 was converted into a concert and sports arena with an alien spaceship-like design and a capacity of 20,000, making it Europe's largest. The North Greenwich tube station can be reached by bus.

Speaking of buses, the town of Woolwich is served by 18 bus routes, which includes one night-only route and two 24-hour routes. With all these routes, the major and minor areas of the town are adequately served, including the London Borough of Greenwich and nearby boroughs. In addition, if one is enticed to take a boat trip, the Woolwich Ferry is a good option. It operates across the River Thames to North Woolwich. The ferry transports trucks, cars, cyclists and passengers during the day until 8 in the evening, weekdays. Two boats operate until Saturdays, and one boat on Sundays.
