The sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has taken the world by storm, through the popularity and success of the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC). MMA looks at how different elements from different disciplines can be combined together to create effective transitions of a fighting system that work from both a stand up position and on the ground. Classes cover striking and grappling techniques, including boxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Karate and Judo.
MMA is a great way to get into shape and meet great driven people with a common passion for studying martial arts. Safety is our primary concern and as with all disciplines, we use the best equipment and most progressive teaching methods to ensure you learn in a safe and controlled environment.
Shorts (no zips or buttons), and a t-shirt or rash guard are the preferred clothing choice with this programme.
If you are thinking of making a longer commitment to training then the relevant safety equipment can be purchased from us. Don't worry if you haven't got these just yet as not all are needed for your first session and you’re welcome to borrow spare equipment from us until you get yours.
